The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend is well under way. Today, there were a few special goings on. First, today is the last day of the Health and Fitness Expo for the Tinker Bell Half Marathon which we chronicled yesterday in depth. Second, the early morning Kid's Race happened at Disney California Adventure.
And even earlier than that, Disney Parks Blog hosted a walk-run race led by Jeff Galloway which included an appearance from Megyn Price and ended with special tours of the Disneyland Dream Suite!

The Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend is here and the health/fitness Expo for the event is happening now through tomorrow at the Disneyland Hotel in celebration of the big event!
Nftysqrt was at the Disneyland Hotel today for a look at the goings on. Apart from the shiny new medals for the inaugural race, runDisney spokesperson Jeff Galloway was on hand amongst all the excitement, booths, and crowds.

Amidst the excitement of the inaugural Tinker Bell Half Marathon at Disneyland, existing construction and refurbishment projects are plowing ahead at full steam. Nftysqrt was in the parks for a look at the on-going craziness of progression!
In this week's park update you'll find that the Paradise Pier shops continue to be transformed, Carsland continues to get polished, Matterhorn is all wrapped for its makeover, and Buena Vista Street continues to take shape.

Marvel Studios announced today that they will be sponsoring a Global Twitter Chat on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. (PST) with cast members and the director of their highly anticipated action-adventure “Marvel’s The Avengers,” opening in theaters on May 4, 2012.

The inaugural runDisney Tinker Bell Half Marathon kicks off today with an Expo at the Disneyland Hotel and a 5k Fun Run inside Disneyland 10:30pm. If you're going to be heading to the resort this weekend you'll definitely want to Be in the Know Before You Go.
With 12,000 runners in the main race on Sunday, you can expect there to be quite a high volume of people once you also count in their family and supporters. Additionally, road closures around the Resort can also impact getting to and around the area.

Tower of Terror - How many can fit?
I love Tower, it's such a fun ride and the themeing is right up my alley with that golden age of Hollywood feel.
